Zorx 1U CV Bus MK II
***NOTE: All Zorx 1U products follow the Intellijel 1U size format (see note below if using Intellijel case) of 39.65mm high. The circuit board for the 1U CV Bus is 25mm so make sure your 1U space measures at least that amount.
The Zorx 1U CV Bus MK II is an 84 HP 4 - 1 x 4 buffered mult with attenuation/attenuverting on each output for use with audio and CV signals. It has a depth of 27mm and uses +12V 90 mA, -12V 90mA, and doesn’t need a +5V rail to operate. When nothing is patched into Channel 3 or Channel 4, +5V is fed into each output for that channel to use as an offset, with an attenuated peak to peak voltage of around -5V to +5V available at each output.
NEW FOR MK II - With nothing patched into Channel 1 (the blue channel, single dot), a triangle wave LFO will be dispatched for that channel’s outputs. Likewise, in Channel 2 (red channel, two dots) when nothing is patched in, it will have a square wave LFO going out to that channel’s outputs. The frequency for both is controlled by a potentiometer found just above and to the left of the Zorx Electronics logo on the faceplate. These LFOs are a nice way to have some extra modulation spread throughout your rig. The LFO rate is the same for Channel 1 and 2 and spans about 0.2 Hz to approx. 20 Hz.
NEW FOR MK II* - The very last output on the 1U CV Bus (yellow channel, four dots, Group 4) can act as it normally would, as a copied signal of its input, or be assigned via a jumper on the back of the module to be a summed mix out of Group 3’s output. This can get some excellent complex modulation or audio signals, and can even be used like a 4-channel audio mixer. Used in conjunction with the Expander, with the combination of all modulation channels and the summed Channel 3 output, and the modulation possibilities can get even more complex and bizarre.
The Zorx 1U CV Bus uses +12V 90 mA and -12V 90mA, and doesn’t need a +5V rail to operate. It has a depth of 27mm. The faceplate is black matte with copper.
The 20 HP Zorx 1U CV BUS Expander is also available to buddy up with the 1U CV Bus.
*Please Note:
The Zorx 1U CV Bus easily fits in most 1U cases (Intellijel cases, Needham Woodworks, cases using Vector rails and more work well), but some cases can be a tight fit for the 1U CV Bus if they use thick rails. If necessary, try loosening the 4 x 1U rail screws (2 on each side) on the side of the case to loosen the rails a little, and then insert the CV Bus into the 1U rail slot. You might need to squeeze the 1U rails together slightly and move the threaded inserts to get the holes lined up for all eight holes on the 1U CV Bus, but this should allow you to get the CV Bus in place so you can screw it in and secure it. After, just re-tighten the 1U rail screws.
The Zorx 1U CV Bus Expander MK II is a clickless 20 HP 4 channel performance silencing module that takes the last four outputs of the 1U CV Bus, duplicates them and let’s you manually switch them on and off, with latching or momentarily capabilities. It also includes an adjustable Mix Out which sums all of the Expander’s outputs into a mono output. In this way, the Expander and the 1U CV Bus can be used as an audio mixer, a CV mixer, or a combination of the two.
